And you're just like, "For real? Is this really happening? What is WRONG with the world?!?"

So today, I want to tell you the top five things that actually changed the way that I work forever (...and completely blew up my business revenue in the process).

And not one of them is software. You don't have to buy any of it. No affiliate links here. ⬇️


Online Business Tip #1 - Wanna Kick Your Butt into Action? Fix the Misery

The first thing that changed my business forever, and I am not being sarcastic here... was misery.

Literal misery.

What the hell do I mean by that??

The more miserable I got, the more I was willing to be brave and make changes I would normally be terrified of.

Yup, this is what I'm willing to risk when I'm miserable ⬆️

Because I was miserable, that "big scary change" was actually less terrifying than being that miserable for the rest of my life.

So, finding the spots in my business where I was fully miserable...then sitting down and fixing it permanently was THE KEY to big results.

This SIMPLE change (fixing the misery instead of chasing the money) wound up creating MUCH MORE income over time.

That's because the more I started to LOVE and ENJOY my business, the better work I was doing.

Customers noticed. Competitors noticed. And people wanted to work with me MORE because I was clearly contributing HIGHER quality stuff, more often.

And sometimes "fixing the misery" involves paying somebody else to do it.

But most of the time, it literally just involved this sentence: "I'm not doing this anymore. Let's see what happens if we remove it"...

And nothing bad happened.

For example, I have not checked my email in years and I do not intend to start anytime soon. That task made me MISERABLE but it also makes me basically NO MONEY.

So letting go of it was the right thing to do.

Literally just DOING THE WORK to take away something that made me miserable in the business = BIG RESULTS.

And every time I did it, you would think I lost a ton of money because I was taking something OUT of my business.

But what actually happened is pretty astonishing...

I've done it three times now, and each time our income either doubled or was 1.5 times more the following year. ⬇️

And I can chalk all of that up to being miserable and deciding to basically be like, "We're not doing this anymore. It's going to look totally different now."

Ta-da. Gotta love that misery.


Online Business Tip #2 - Stubborn is the Way


The second thing that changed my business forever is being stubborn.

I like to say to people, "If you are stubborn enough for long enough, eventually your business will succeed."

That seems to be true for every business.

So many of us are like, "Oh, well, I'm going to do this for a couple of months, and if it doesn't work, I'm going to move on to something else... Or I'm going to quit!"

The ASSUMPTION is that pressure to work fast = success. But in reality, it doesn't work that way. ⬇️

Moving FAST is NOT the same thing as CREATING SUCCESS.

Here's your official CHEAT SHEET for how a business works:

You have to keep showing up constantly in order for it to work at all.

Terrifying example: Creators are now saying that you need to make 700 videos before your business will actually start to grow massively.

It takes 700 videos for massive awareness, serious monthly money, and major growth in a business.

SHIIIIT. That's a lot of videos.

And it basically means showing up every single week to make a video for two years.

That's what I mean by being stubborn.

Don't go into this like, "Oh, I'm going to do this for two months, and then if it doesn't work out, I'm going to do something else."

That doesn't work.

When it comes to your business, either COMMIT for the long haul or don't bother ⬆️

That's how 99% of people "try" a business, and it's also why 99% of businesses won't exist the following year.

If success just HAPPENED, everyone would have a business and we'd all be rich.

But we're NOT.

To practice being stubborn, don't go into it like, "I'm just going to do this for a short time."

Commit to showing up for the long-term. A stubborn commitment should be a year or longer.


Online Business Tip #3 - Your Schedule Matters and You NEED to Fix it.


The third thing that changed my business forever was getting my schedule on point.

Here's how most people run their day:
⏰ Wake up.
🤔 Feel an urgent need to work on "something" so you get that kick of being productive.
😬 Remember that thing you forgot to finish yesterday and work frantically to finish it in one day.
😮‍💨 Sit there until it's done.

🌙 Then you look up and it's 11:00 PM.

And that's how most of us run our business.

We fly by the seat of our pants, hoping that we can figure things out as we go...

A schedule will magically materialize and show us how to work, eventually...right?!?

There's no one here to save you but you, so you basically have to make your own schedule. ⬇️

Here's the tricky part: You have to actually stick to it once you make it.

I found it really easy to make a schedule, block my time and say, "I'm only taking meetings on Friday," or, "I'm only teaching classes on Thursday,"...etc...

But sticking to it was actually the hard part.

To force myself to stick to a schedule, I add in things after work like exercise, activities, social stuff.

Having these items SCHEDULED and on my calendar means that I force myself to walk away from the computer... AT THE SAME TIME every day!

And once I got that on point and it started working, magic started happening.

I started waking up happier without worry, and suddenly I had the work-life balance I always wanted... but had never understood how people achieve. UNTIL NOW. ⬇️

Turns out, you achieve it by just making it happen yourself.

Online Business Tip #4 - Stop Chasing the Money


This one is quirky af...And it's really counterintuitive.

Obviously, it's all about NOT chasing the money.

You would think, "Well, a business is supposed to make money because I have to pay my bills...DERP...So why would I focus on NOT making money???"

When I was "chasing the money" (aka doing things like offering expert phone calls for $5 a minute)...I would basically make myself miserable for very little money.

BUT -- because I was getting paid to do it, I didn't want to give up the money.

Once I actually gave it up, I was able to focus on things I TRULY like doing.

And if I actually like doing something, I'm usually a lot better at it. Not to mention, I put more energy into it because I give a shit.

Chasing the money might seem like what you're supposed to do in a business.

BUT A BUSINESS IS ALL ABOUT CUSTOMERS. You're supposed to give your customers your absolute best so that they're impressed with every single thing you do.

And ironically when this happens, you can take on fewer customers, but charge more.

(So you make more, but it takes you considerably LESS time to make MORE money).

That was a beautiful light bulb moment for me and my business. Stop chasing money.

Focus on giving customers the BEST of you instead.


Online Business Tip #5 - Get a Kickstand


The fifth biz revelation that changed my life forever is something called a kickstand.

What the hell is that?

A kickstand is like a support system that you build for yourself.

Mine is a business text group of women who are in a similar place to me. We trade business ideas, encourage each other, but we also call each other out on things when we're getting distracted.

In fact, it was my kickstand that taught me to stop taking those pointless $5/min calls (and stop chasing money in the first place).

Think of a kickstand as like a mental release button. Instead of dealing with all the pressure and problems of running a business YOURSELF...

You have people to help you process the problems WAY faster (and with less EMOTIONAL CHAOS) than you could yourself.

It's honestly the closest I've come to cloning myself – I can get the same OBJECTIVE advice I would give my coaching students...For myself (as needed).

You can always reach out to your kickstand...And you can always ask them questions, but you don't have to take the mental load of figuring everything out yourself.

You don't have to take months and months to get where you ultimately want to be. (Or in my case, take months and months just to make a single decision). That's what a kickstand is for.

They prevent you from getting stuck. And it's easy because they're built into your workflow. You can just talk to them when you need them.

🚫 Without them, I never would have been brave enough to come this far.
🚫 I never would have had the energy to push past the difficult parts,
🚫 and I never would have known that I was capable of getting where I am today.

If you had told me five years ago that this is where I would be, I would have laughed at you and told you to get the hell out of my house.

Because what I have NOW is just not something I was capable of when I started. (Lol – no way in HELL...I was stuck in my own head and everything I worried about was pointless).

But I figured it out in a BIG way, and so can you.
